According to recent rankings from the Princeton Review and Entrepreneur magazine, Penn State has advanced to No. 28 in the nation for undergraduate entrepreneurship studies. This improvement places Penn State among the top schools for entrepreneurship, securing the No. 4 position in the Mid-Atlantic region.
The rankings, based on a survey of nearly 300 schools, evaluated academic offerings, faculty expertise, mentorship, experiential learning, and alumni success in entrepreneurship. Penn State’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, which includes the Smeal College of Business’s Corporate Innovation and Entrepreneurship major and the intercollege Entrepreneurship & Innovation minor, contributed to the university’s strong showing.
The Invent Penn State initiative further enhances opportunities for student entrepreneurs with mentorship, pitch competitions, and resources through the LaunchBox & Innovation Network, which comprises 21 innovation hubs across Pennsylvania. In recent years, alumni from the CIENT major and ENTI minor have collectively donated $1.75 million for various ventures, reflecting the program’s impact on real-world success. Penn State’s entrepreneurial programs are designed to equip students with skills for launching their own businesses or driving innovation within established organizations.
