A team of Smeal undergraduate students — Katherine Groves (supply chain management), Anna Simek (management information systems), and Annika Sernyak (supply chain and information systems) — placed in the three competitions that were part of the recent International Business Ethics Case Competition, the oldest and most distinguished intercollegiate business ethics competition of its kind.

Each team selects a topic, prepares a presentation describing the problem, and proposes a solution. Smeal’s team developed a case study titled “Google is Bringing Back the Corporate Town.” The students took first place in the 90-second presentation, first place in the 10-minute presentation, and second place in the full (25-minute) presentation.
