Chelsea Hammond, associate teaching professor of marketing at the Penn State Smeal College of Business, has been named the recipient of the 2024 Excellence in Business Ethics Education Award. The award recognizes her contributions to integrating business ethics and social responsibility into Smeal’s marketing curriculum.
Sponsored by the Linda Treviño Excellence in Business Ethics Program Fund Endowment and presented by the Tarriff Center for Business Ethics and Social Responsibility, the award highlights Hammond’s efforts to prepare students for ethical leadership in business. Her curriculum emphasizes ethical data management, data accuracy, and the responsible use of research and insights, equipping students with critical skills for ethical decision-making.
Hammond’s work has played a pivotal role in advancing college-wide initiatives that promote integrity and responsibility in business education. The award includes a financial honorarium and the opportunity to serve on next year’s selection committee.
